Element Coins - Sulfur Coin Details
Back to Coin Page
The first issue of the Sulfur Elements Coin is packaged in the standard Airtite holder along with the coin flip. At least two other packaging forms are planned to be offered later, one being a clear plastic resin encapsulation, and the other being a glass capsule.
If you decide to purchase the coin in the Airtite holder, it is advised that the coin be kept separate from other coins you may have in your collection. Sulfur will give off vapors that will pass through the Airtite holder and will tarnish certain other metals in the vicinity, silver being one of them. The other forms of packaging, like the resin encapsulation and glass capsule, will prevent this possible problem, but will be higher priced.
Also keep in mind that sulfur is very brittle and can crumble easily, so it is not advisable to remove the coin from its Airtite holder unless you take extreme care with handling. The rims are delicate and can chip easily.
