Element Sets in Glass Ampoules

The best way to preserve elements for a long-lasting display is to seal the elements in glass ampoules. We offer many varieties of sets including a nearly complete set of the elements, excluding radioactive elements and Fluorine gas. Each element is safely and permanently sealed in the glass ampoules which measure 1/4 inch diameter (7mm) and are about 1.5 inches long (37mm). Each ampoule has a label attached showing the element name, Periodic Table symbol and the atomic number. The ampoules allow for safe viewing of each element and will preserve the sample forever. And, will protect you from the sample. Many of the elements are reactive - they will tarnish and corrode quickly if exposed to air. The glass protects these elements and keeps them shiny.

We have been sealing element samples in glass since 2003 - those years of experience have been valuable in helping us make the best, most reliable element samples available. Ampoules of reactive metals that we made early on are still shiny today.

The most complete set available from us contains 81 element samples. Many of the metals are nicely cut rectangular pieces which makes side-by-side comparison of elements easy. Other elements are supplied as small chips, mercury and bromine are liquids, and all the gases (except for Fluorine) are sealed in the same glass ampoules.

A sturdy black plastic base is also offered (purchased separately) to house the ampoule sets. It has holes drilled with the pattern of the Periodic Table so you will know where each ampoule is in the base by its position in the Periodic Table.

These sets will be safely packaged to prevent breakage during shipment.
