PERIODIC TABLE WOOD BASE w/COVER FOR GLASS AMPOULES

Offered here is a very handsome solid wood base and acrylic cover specifically designed to hold a complete set of elements that have been sealed in glass ampoules. The wood base is hand-made by a local craftsman and will conveniently hold all the glass ampoule samples that we offer as one of our main element sample product lines. The base has 100 holes that represent most of the periodic table. Included is a clear acrylic cover that will easily fit over the base and ampoules to protect them from dust and help prevent breakage. The cover slides off easily from the base and is not hinged or attached in any way to the base.

The base is made of solid oak and the holes are spaced so that each ampoule is easily accessible while keeping the base compact enough to make a nice holder for your ampoule collection.

PLEASE NOTE: The Wood Base is no longer available - it will be replaced with a base made of durable black plastic. The photo will be updated when we receive the first piece from this batch, sometime in late April 2010. You may order the base now if you wish but please note that the base you receive will be plastic, not wood.

The dimensions of the base are:

- Length: 9 1/2 inches (24 cm)
- Depth: 4 1/2 inches (11 cm)
- Height without cover: 1 1/2 inches (4 cm) - Height with cover installed: 3 3/4 inches (9 cm)

The holes are designed to allow a glass ampoule to fit just right - not too tight or too loose. Felt pads are placed under the base on each corner. The area on the top of the periodic table pattern is left blank so that you may customize as desired with an attached nameplate or other modifications.

The cover is clear sturdy acrylic and fits nicely over the base and allows plenty of clearance for the glass ampoules. It is rounded on the near and far edges when viewed from the front. Wood base and cover made in USA.

PERIODIC TABLE WOOD BASE FOR GLASS AMPOULES

This is a lower-priced version of the wood base for those that do not need or wish to have the acrylic covered version. This is a wood base only, with the top edge patterned instead of slotted as in the example with the acrylic cover.

The hole pattern for this example matches that of the example with the cover as shown above.

The dimensions of this base are:

- Length: 10 1/4 inches (26 cm)
- Depth: 5 1/4 inches (13 cm)
- Height: 1 1/2 inches (4 cm)

The holes are designed to allow a glass ampoule to fit just right - not too tight or too loose. Felt pads are placed under the base on each corner. The area on the top of the periodic table pattern is left blank so that you may customize as desired with an attached nameplate or other modifications. Base made in USA.
